Great fast and friendly service here. Food comes out in 10 minutes or less on a busy day, and many waiters to take orders right away. Had the scramble eggs with chorizo, side of rice and beans. Love the big portion plate and food was delicious. Son had the bacon omelet, and he said one of the best omelets he's tried. Pancakes were delicious. A lot of breakfast spots don't make good pancakes( spongy texture, no flavor on batter, burnt pancakes). This spot earns a 5 star on pancakes.

Today I introduced a couple friends to Firehouse Cafe. Both of them used to work in the area, but never seen or heard of this restaurant. Upon entering, we were instantly greeted and welcomed in by Lori. She's full of life and energy, so my friends were really delighted to feel appreciated for stopping by. The menu is packed full of goodness, so Lori was patient with them as they reviewed the menu. Eventually, they just ended up asking for my suggestions. Each of us wanted our order to be "customized" to our tastes, so Lori had to work that pen to the max on her tablet. In the end, she had all of our orders PERFECT! As a bonus, each of the ladies that work here have their favorite items on the menu, once again customized. Here's Lori's favorite dish: Veggie sandwich on squaw bread with langoustine sausage with onion rings well done. You should see the smile on her face when describing her sandwich. Even with all that was going on in restaurant, she greeted her regulars and knew their orders off the top of her head. Being that these individuals seemed to have a limited time for lunch, she was able to expedite things for them. When in doubt, just ask Tina, Jennifer, or Lori for their recommendations on what to order. In short, I got Tina's favorite, pastrami sandwich on a French roll with half onion rings and fries! I'm so happy and full!

What a pleasant surprise! My wife and I love going to all sorts of Mom and Pop cafés and enjoying the uniqueness and super friendliness of the staff. We weren't disappointed in this case! Super friendly staff greeted us upon entry, our server. Jen was very friendly & informative about the various meals. My wife enjoyed the hamburger patty, eggs, and potatoes with a side of French toast. All were phenomenal, especially the homestyle potatoes. It's nice that there are still people that cook them without adding in bell peppers which tends to overpower the potatoes. These were cooked perfectly, golden brown with just the right amount of crunch on the outside and tasted fantastic! I created my own omelette with chicken, bacon, onion, and cheese, which I believed to be four eggs! Absolutely cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic! The side of French toast was very flavorful also! We will certainly go here again! Many thanks to Jen who made the visit very enjoyable!

Service - A+ (friendly, fast, welcoming, food comes out quickly) Food - we have only come here for breakfast several times. I want to come for lunch as the menu looks amazing. Scrambled eggs with ham - with a side of tomatoes. Delicious. Quinoa bowl with two eggs over medium - comes with potatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, avocado, quinoa, shredded cheese. You have the option of bacon or ham - I always choose diced ham. This is my absolutely favorite item on the menu. All their drinks were fantastic - black coffee (strong), vanilla latte (great) served in a Christmas mug (fun!), hot chocolate (great), hot honey ginger tea (very very yummy). The toast is served slathered in butter and with a tiny side of grape jelly. The grape jelly is AMAZING. I could eat an entire vat of that jelly by itself!!!! Highly recommend this place - it's off the beaten path restaurant. It's located on the corner/street side of Cerritos nestled within a small business park.

This is my in-laws go to breakfast spot. We have been many times with them, but today we trekked there alone. The chorizo scramble plate is huge. My husband is a hearty eater and could only finish half. Leftovers will be great tomorrow! I opted for the chicken fried steak plate and it was pretty good. Also, a large portion and I have leftovers. My gravy was lukewarm so that was a disappointment. But overall the experience was good. The service was top notch. Jen was on top of it. By far one of the best servers we have ever encountered.

So we started shopping at Ralph's Fresh Fare on Seal Beach Blvd. Making a drive from DTLB because our local grocery store Vons was giving in to homelessness and crime. Very unsafe for us. Wanted to grab some breakfast early before shopping. This Cafe had awesome corned beef hash and breakfast quesadillas! Huge servings at low prices! Couldn't be better! Did I mention how nice the service is?!

From the outside Firehouse Cafe is unassuming, located in a small business park. The inside is also pretty basic but it's cozy & welcoming, allowing the excellent food & service to take the spotlight. The menu offers traditional as well as creative takes on Breakfast & Lunch choices. Portions are generous & taste homemade. Prices while not low (but what is these days?) are the same or even a few bucks less than other places that aren't nearly as good. Thumbs up on the quality Coffee & they're spot on with refills. The Feta Omelette's a winner. Filled with spinach, tomatoes & mushrooms generously festooned with crumbled Feta Cheese. The tomatoes (instead of potatoes) were ripe & a nice thickness. Sometimes tomatoes as a side are just plain sad. My choice of toast was the tasty Rye Bread. The BF was happy w/ the Burger Patty, over medium Eggs & country Potatoes. Their hash browns are also good. Other terrific dishes we've had: - Tuna Melt...Crispy, buttery toast & creamy tuna. A guilty pleasure. - Quinoa Bowl...So good! A variety of sautéed vegetables, avocado, diced potatoes, choice of meat such as ham or bacon & 2 eggs any style all atop tender quinoa. - Country Sausage Omelette (not for the faint of heart...it's creamy & rich!) Other winners: - Eggs Benedict Florentine - The Big Breakfast Burrito - The Mexican Chicken Sandwich. This one features a grilled chicken breast on a Torta roll. The flavor is crave-able with Melted Provolone, cilantro, avocado & red onions. Sometimes there's a wait but tables & booths are bussed quickly & you're bound to sit at a table or booth soon enough. There's also a counter. You pretty much can't go wrong with any menu item & parking is usually never a problem. Whether you come solo or otherwise you hopefully will feel at home. They seem to really appreciate you coming in & happily refill your beverages too!

Good morning, it's breakfast time. This is our favorite spot now especially with a Favorites servers Lori I'm sorry I forgot the other ladies name.. we always receive great service and our food is always yummy. See you next week lol.
